Draft Grade — Packers
Overall C+
ValueC- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A mixed bag for the Packers, and a C+ to match.

The Packers spent real capital to be 188 picks early on Logan Parr, and the board is going to hold them to it. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Watts at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Hit on Josh Simmons and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Josh Simmons
In slot 23 they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
Pick54 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
Value with a capital V on Xavier Watts in the 54th overall pick, a genuine coup. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick87 Rnd3 Logan Parr
This one needs a full-page explanation: Logan Parr in pick 87, miles early. It fills a real need, too.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jacob Parrish
Jacob Parrish at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick159 Rnd5 KeAndre Lambert-Smith
KeAndre Lambert-Smith at No. 159 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick198 Rnd6 Marcus Yarns
Marcus Yarns at pick No. 198 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick237 Rnd7 Isas Waxter
They talked themselves into Isas Waxter at the 237th pick, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick250 Rnd7 Bam Martin-Scott
A wild overpay on Bam Martin-Scott in No. 250, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
