FutureB
The Seahawks turned the phones into found money: B+. The rest of the league had time to spare on Nick Gargiulo; the Seahawks did not wait, grabbing him 44 spots ahead at No. 235. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Sainristil at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In slot 28 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick62
Rnd2
Junior Colson
A tidy bit of business in Round 2, Pick 30, where Junior Colson graded well above the range. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick81
Rnd3
Cade Stover
Fair-plus on Cade Stover, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The roster fit checks out.
Pick102
Rnd4
Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil in pick No. 102 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick118
Rnd4
Spencer Rattler
No edge and no loss on Spencer Rattler in the 118th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It fills a real need, too.
Pick121
Rnd4
Roger Rosengarten
A reach on Roger Rosengarten in the Round 4 slot; the board had better options right there. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick180
Rnd6
Layden Robinson
Layden Robinson at the 180th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick192
Rnd6
Cornelius Johnson
Nothing to complain about; Cornelius Johnson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick218
Rnd6
Logan Lee
Good price on Logan Lee in the Round 6 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick235
Rnd7
Nick Gargiulo
A big swing on Nick Gargiulo at Round 7, Pick 15, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
