FutureC
A masterclass at the trade table lands the Seahawks a B+. The real work happened on the phones. The Seahawks fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. Landing DeJean that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
The Justin Fields deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. On the needs board they went 2 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In Round 1, Pick 15 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick77
Rnd3
Cooper DeJean
Value with a capital V on Cooper DeJean in the 77th overall pick, a genuine coup. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick115
Rnd4
Tate Ratledge
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tate Ratledge. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick152
Rnd5
Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil in pick 152 is fair value, right on his grade. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick193
Rnd6
Darius Robinson
They took Darius Robinson at par in the 193rd pick, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick236
Rnd7
Joshua Gray
Joshua Gray at slot 236 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
