^Seatown^Raptorz^ DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
C
ValueD
NeedB-
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks land in the muddy middle: C. The Seahawks clearly saw something nobody else did in D'Angelo Ponds, taking him 42 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The back end got a real overhaul.
So much rides on Michael Taaffe that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Michael Taaffe
In the Round 1 slot they get a ballhawk on the back end, a steep price for the projection. More want than need.
Pick64
Rnd2
D'Angelo Ponds
They reached into another round for D'Angelo Ponds, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick96
Rnd3
Logan Jones
A big swing on Logan Jones at slot 96, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick213
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
No drama and no debate, Trey Zuhn III went about where he belonged in pick 213. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
