Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureF
The Seahawks fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B-.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Seahawks came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. The Williams reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In the 16th overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39 Rnd2 Graham Barton
Fair-plus on Graham Barton, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick47 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
They paid up for T'Vondre Sweat at the 47th pick when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick78 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
No edge and no loss on Cooper Beebe in pick No. 78; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick118 Rnd4 James Williams
James Williams at No. 118 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick154 Rnd5 Ty'Ron Hopper
They took Ty'Ron Hopper at par in pick 154, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick194 Rnd6 Aki Ogunbiyi
Aki Ogunbiyi at the Round 6 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick236 Rnd7 Brevyn Spann-Ford
A reach on Brevyn Spann-Ford in Round 7, Pick 16; the board had better options right there. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
