Larceny in the 92nd overall pick lands the 49ers a B-, Pieper and all.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The 49ers watched Kade Pieper slide 47 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Every board in the league had Daley lower, and that gap is the story. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

In pick 27 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, even if it was a touch early.
Pick58 Rnd2 T.J. Moore
T.J. Moore at slot 58 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick92 Rnd3 Kade Pieper
Kade Pieper in the 92nd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick127 Rnd4 Jayden Jackson
Jayden Jackson at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

Justin Evans in the 133rd pick is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick135 Rnd4 Dylan Raiola
Dylan Raiola slid further than he should have, and Round 4, Pick 35 is lovely value for the quarterback. It patches a soft spot without any drama.

Luke Reynolds in No. 138 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.

The board had Mateen Ibirogba higher than pick No. 171, and the edge rusher fell to them anyway. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
