The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Stone: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. David Stone, the No. 19 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 2 slot.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Reaching for Reynolds left real value on the table behind him.

The 49ers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
