The phones sank the 49ers this weekend: D-.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the 49ers started one anyway for Jamari Lyons, 46 picks ahead of schedule. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The Nwokobia pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback still on the board. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Lew at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
