You could see the war room lean forward. Kade Pieper at No. 83 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. If Harbor pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The veteran additions, Marvin Harrison Jr. chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
