The tape said wait; the Bears did not. Tanor Bortolini went at the 78th pick, a good 76 picks before the board was ready. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The Penix Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
