The Raiders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Raiders watched Smael Mondon Jr. slide 142 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Reaching for McCoy left real value on the table behind him. The whole projection now runs through Shedeur Sanders; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
