The Bears left with their quarterback, and a A- to match.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

The cost of the Smith reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Jones.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
