Grand theft in slot 189: the Patriots steal Weeks and grade out a B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Whit Weeks, the No. 150 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 189.

They are betting McCray proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
