yuavo DRAFTING FOR THEDolphins
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall

FutureB-
The Dolphins let Rogers fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Caleb Rogers, the No. 200 name on the board, stolen at slot 224.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Kelvin Banks Jr.
In slot 13 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick48
Rnd2
Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart at the 48th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the quarterback. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick98
Rnd3
Tez Johnson
A straight-up fair deal on Tez Johnson at No. 98, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick116
Rnd4
Billy Bowman Jr.
Billy Bowman Jr. at the Round 4 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick135
Rnd4
Cobee Bryant
They let Cobee Bryant come to them and pounced at pick 135. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick150
Rnd5
Mitchell Evans
A tidy little value on Mitchell Evans in pick No. 150, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick155
Rnd5
Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten in Round 5, Pick 17 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick224
Rnd7
Caleb Rogers
The board fumbled Caleb Rogers all the way to the 224th pick, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick231
Rnd7
Robert Longerbeam
Robert Longerbeam slid further than he should have, and the Round 7 slot is lovely value for the cornerback. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick253
Rnd7
Tonka Hemingway
They took Tonka Hemingway at par in the 253rd pick, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
