Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Cardinals let Trotter Jr. fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

When a board-topper like Jeremiah Trotter Jr. slides to pick 90, you do not overthink it, and the Cardinals did not.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Harrell reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Joe Alt
In pick No. 4 they get a cornerstone up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick27 Rnd1 Adonai Mitchell
No edge and no loss on Adonai Mitchell in Round 1, Pick 27; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick35 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
A straight-up fair deal on Javon Bullard at the 35th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick66 Rnd3 Zach Frazier
Zach Frazier at slot 66 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick71 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil at No. 71 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick90 Rnd3 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
You do not let a linebacker like Jeremiah Trotter Jr. reach pick 90 and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick104 Rnd4 Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen in the 104th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick138 Rnd5 Marcus Harris
A premium they did not need to pay, Marcus Harris a notch or two before his time. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick162 Rnd5 Braiden McGregor
They paid up for Braiden McGregor at Round 5, Pick 26 when waiting would have done the job. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick186 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jaylen Harrell this early at the 186th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick226 Rnd7 Nathaniel Watson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Nathaniel Watson at pick No. 226 is the proof. A need, and now a little less of one.
