Thirty-one other rooms let Jay Higgins slide, and the Steelers were the ones holding the card at slot 223. Highway robbery. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The cost of the Slackman reach is exactly the players who went right after him. It is not that Cornelius is a bad player; it is that the Steelers had louder needs to answer first. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
