The Bears torched the value chart for Luke McCaffrey, taking him 89 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A F, plain and simple.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The Sinnott pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left interior defensive lineman open, and the grade is the bill.
