More right than wrong for the Commanders, and a B to prove it.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Commanders did exactly that with Oluwafemi Oladejo in the 95th overall pick.

They banked enough surplus on Nelson to cover a lot of smaller sins. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
