The Broncos found their guy under center in McCarthy: B. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Broncos spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They banked enough surplus on Gray to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Reaching for Barner left real value on the table behind him.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
