When a board-topper like Chris Paul Jr. slides to the 168th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the 49ers did not. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The cost of the Lundt reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
