The Eagles looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Jay Higgins at pick 164 regardless, 37 picks early.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Getting Belton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
