The Jalen McLeod selection is the head-turner. The 49ers reached 65 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
