Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Steelers.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Steelers took Jordan Whittington a full 53 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They will answer for taking offensive lineman early while quarterback, safety and other spots went begging. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

Getting Melton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
