Larceny in slot 51 lands the Steelers a B, Thomas Jr. and all.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Brian Thomas Jr. got past him. The Steelers do not have to explain a thing at No. 51. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Limmer pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will need Jones to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
