The Steelers let Nash fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

The board owed the Steelers one, and it paid up: Nick Nash, the No. 155 name on the board, sitting there at the 225th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Reaching for Hemingway left real value on the table behind him. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
