The Steelers let Phillips fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The Steelers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Andru Phillips fell into the 119th overall pick.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Steelers indulged a want in Suamataia while a need in interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots stayed open.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Jackson Powers-Johnson
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, even if it was a touch early.
Pick51 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
A surprising call. With interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots still to address, they spent the 51st overall pick on Kingsley Suamataia, an offensive lineman they were not short of.
Pick84 Rnd3 Malik Washington
Malik Washington at No. 84 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick119 Rnd4 Andru Phillips
Steal is underselling it; Andru Phillips at pick 119 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick120 Rnd4 Cam Hart
Cam Hart at the Round 4 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick178 Rnd6 Malik Mustapha
Malik Mustapha at pick No. 178 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick195 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III in the 195th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
