A mixed bag for the Chiefs, and a C+ to match.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Chiefs shredded theirs for Oscar Delp. He came off 55 spots early, and the room will hear about it. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. However the rest shakes out, Fields at that price is a win they earned.

If Gennings Dunker and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

In pick No. 29 they get protection for the quarterback, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick61 Rnd2 Oscar Delp
They reached a country mile for Oscar Delp at the Round 2 slot, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick93 Rnd3 Malachi Fields
They read the board right and Malachi Fields was the payoff at the 93rd pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick116 Rnd4 Tacario Davis
The board had Tacario Davis higher than slot 116, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick168 Rnd5 Mark Fletcher Jr.
A tidy little value on Mark Fletcher Jr. in Round 5, Pick 30, a step better than break-even. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.

Bear Alexander in the 207th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The roster fit checks out.

The board had cheaper options than Ethan Onianwa at slot 242, and it noticed. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

They talked themselves into Thomas Collins at pick 257, and the board did not agree. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
