The Steelers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jaylen Reed fell into pick No. 214. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Vinson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
