A costly weekend of dealing drags the Steelers to a D+.

Nobody else had Donovan Smith anywhere near slot 229. The Steelers did, by 39 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Landing Grant that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
