The board owed the Seahawks one, and it paid up: Kalel Mullings, the No. 105 name on the board, sitting there at No. 234 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Reaching for Howard left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
