You build a draft on nights like this. Jalon Daniels had no business being available in slot 185, and the Browns did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Caldwell has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
