A weekend the Saints spent ahead of the board, for worse: F. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Saints spent slot 182 on J.J. Weaver, a name the board had a full 166 spots lower. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Henderson. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.
They will answer for taking safety early while quarterback went begging. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with quarterback still staring back at them.
