The Donovan Smith selection is the head-turner. The Jaguars reached 76 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Gray at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
