The Vikings spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Ollie Gordon II, the No. 164 name on the board, in pick No. 223. No fireworks, but a solid B.

They are betting Majors proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
