For all the boxes ticked, the Texans skipped the loudest one: wide receiver is exactly as bare as it was.

Watts falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The cost of the Mustapha reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Job largely done: running back settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
