The Texans let Reid fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Karene Reid tumbling to the Texans in No. 236 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
