The board owed the Seahawks one, and it paid up: Jeffrey Bassa, the No. 132 name on the board, sitting there at slot 173 like a gift left on the doorstep.

Jackson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
