A costly weekend of dealing drags the Lions to a F.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Lions shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. There is no dressing it up: a F.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

The Cowing steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In the end, a class that has to defy its grades just to matter.
