The Commanders lost the trade table, and the D tells the story. The Lawson Luckie pick is the one that will follow the Commanders into the fall. They took him 35 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Put together, it is a D.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Maiava falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
