Draft Grade — Bills

FutureA
The Bills left with their quarterback, and a D to match. Somebody took the Bills to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A D that will need time and luck to look better.
So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
If Ceaser pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. However the rest shakes out, Beebe at that price is a win they earned.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term answer under center at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Joe Alt
In No. 9 they get an anchor for the offensive line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick28
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a true top target. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick60
Rnd2
T.J. Tampa
A tidy bit of business in pick 60, where T.J. Tampa graded well above the range. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick75
Rnd3
Javon Bullard
They let Javon Bullard come to them and pounced at pick No. 75. The roster fit checks out.
Pick99
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
You do not let an offensive lineman like Cooper Beebe reach the 99th overall pick and blink. They did not. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick124
Rnd4
Nelson Ceaser
They reached a country mile for Nelson Ceaser at the 124th pick, and the board is aghast. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick129
Rnd4
Marcus Harris
Marcus Harris in slot 129 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick159
Rnd5
Braiden McGregor
They paid up for Braiden McGregor at the Round 5 slot when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick198
Rnd6
Jha'Quan Jackson
Steal is underselling it; Jha'Quan Jackson at pick 198 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
