Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Bills.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Barryn Sorrell in No. 175, a good 153 spots before the room expected him. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Getting Gadsden II where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The offensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In No. 30 they get a load in the middle, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
A straight-up fair deal on Azareye'h Thomas at the Round 2 slot, value and slot in agreement. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick62 Rnd2 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at the 62nd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It fills a real need, too.
Pick108 Rnd4 Smael Mondon Jr.
They took Smael Mondon Jr. at par in Round 4, Pick 7, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick131 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Darius Alexander. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick171 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II in slot 171 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick175 Rnd5 Barryn Sorrell
They reached a country mile for Barryn Sorrell at No. 175, and the board is aghast. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick179 Rnd6 Jacob Parrish
Jacob Parrish at the Round 6 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick206 Rnd6 Nohl Williams
A wild overpay on Nohl Williams in Round 6, Pick 28, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick208 Rnd6 Chimere Dike
They paid sticker price for Chimere Dike in pick No. 208, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
