Draft Grade — Patriots
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Patriots for Washington: B.

Somebody in pick 103 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Malik Washington, the No. 83 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Malik Nabers
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 JT Tuimoloau
Good price on JT Tuimoloau in the 35th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick67 Rnd3 Malachi Corley
Malachi Corley at pick 67 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick103 Rnd4 Malik Washington
Malik Washington in the 103rd overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
