After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Browns committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Williams at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Oladejo has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
