Winston Jr. should have been long gone. The Titans pounced, and earned a A-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Kevin Winston Jr. had no business being available in the 176th overall pick, and the Titans did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

If Jefferson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
