Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Titans for Scott: B+.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Titans watched Keionte Scott slide 38 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Spending an early pick on cornerback with running back and quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Heidenreich pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In Round 1, Pick 18 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick20 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In No. 20 they get a green-dot type in the middle, and a steal at that.
Pick35 Rnd2 Chris Johnson
Chris Johnson in pick 35 is fair value, right on his grade. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick49 Rnd2 Malachi Lawrence
Malachi Lawrence at the 49th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick66 Rnd3 Derrick Moore
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Derrick Moore. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick97 Rnd3 Jake Golday
They robbed the room for Jake Golday here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick101 Rnd4 Keionte Scott
Of all the spots to shop, they chose cornerback. Keionte Scott in the 101st pick leaves running back and quarterback for later.
Pick112 Rnd4 Keylan Rutledge
Taking Keylan Rutledge in pick No. 112 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick142 Rnd5 Kaleb Proctor
A clean, defensible pick in the 142nd pick with a little surplus value in Kaleb Proctor. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick144 Rnd5 J.C. Davis
By-the-book stuff, J.C. Davis at slot 144 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick152 Rnd5 Eli Raridon
Eli Raridon at Round 5, Pick 12 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick184 Rnd6 Keagen Trost
A straight-up fair deal on Keagen Trost at pick No. 184, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick225 Rnd7 Landon Robinson
Good price on Landon Robinson in the Round 7 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick234 Rnd7 Eli Heidenreich
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Eli Heidenreich well ahead of where he belonged. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
