Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
The Bills won the night they stopped Loveland from sliding. Grade: B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Colston Loveland, the No. 24 name on the board, stolen at the Round 5 slot. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Spending an early pick on cornerback with linebacker, offensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Walter Nolen
In Round 1, Pick 30 they get a load in the middle, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick56
Rnd2
Kenneth Grant
Kenneth Grant in slot 56 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick62
Rnd2
Jahdae Barron
Jahdae Barron at the 62nd pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick109
Rnd4
Jayden Higgins
They will replay Jayden Higgins at pick 109 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick132
Rnd4
Darien Porter
A curious use of the Round 4 slot. Linebacker, offensive lineman and other spots needed the pick; a cornerback in Darien Porter did not.
Pick169
Rnd5
Quinshon Judkins
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Quinshon Judkins in the 169th overall pick, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick170
Rnd5
Josaiah Stewart
Josaiah Stewart in pick No. 170 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick173
Rnd5
Colston Loveland
Somehow Colston Loveland was still sitting there in No. 173, and they pounced on premier tight end value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
