A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a D- weekend for the Bears.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Darius Robinson, 76 picks early at Round 2, Pick 13. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
