The phones sank the Steelers this weekend: D+.

The tape said wait; the Steelers did not. Jamaree Caldwell went at slot 231, a good 101 picks before the board was ready. The math is unkind, and the D+ follows.

That Shough pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
