A costly weekend of dealing drags the 49ers to a D+.

The 49ers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Devin Culp at the 232nd pick regardless, 45 picks early. A D+ that will need time and luck to look better.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Laube.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
