Pearsall should have been long gone. The Broncos pounced, and earned a B.

Call it larceny. Ricky Pearsall sat on the board until pick 235, and the Broncos did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Broncos had louder needs to answer first. The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Ted Karras pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.
